Save the date for the inaugural MUSC Anesthesia for Nurses Alumni Weekend

May 14 to 15, 2022, in Charleston, SC. 

Welcoming all CRNAs to participate in the inaugural MUSC AFN Alumni Weekend! The events for the weekend will take place in person in Charleston, SC from Saturday, May 14 (7:30a.m. - 5:30p.m.) through Sunday, May 15, (8:30a.m. - 12:30p.m.) 2022 at the College of Health Professions (151-B Rutledge Avenue, Charleston, SC 29425).

Speakers will present on a variety of topics, and the conference will offer 12 CEUs. Proceeds will benefit the student body in the cost of non-tuition expenses including clinical, professional, and academic ventures.

The event also serves as a venue for alumni to gather and interact with the nurse anesthesia residents, while affording the alumni the opportunity to engage with the program and witness its progression. Awards and recognitions will be held during the alumni reception. Food and refreshments will be provided.

This program has been prior approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology for 12.00 Class A CE credits; Code Number 1042044; Expiration Date 5/15/2022.

The Anesthesia for Nurses Distinguished Alumnus Awards are given annually to graduates of the MUSC College of Health Professions, Division of Anesthesia for Nurses Program. We would like to invite you to join us for the ceremony:

Nominations are now being accepted in three of the following areas:

  • Professional Advocacy,
  • Educational Advocacy, and
  • Research Advocacy.

Please review selection criteria (outlined within the PDF form) and make your nomination using the AFN Distinguished Alumnus Nomination Form (PDF). Please provide as much of the requested information as possible.

Nominations should be sent to Angie Mund at by April 1, 2022, for consideration in the May 14, 2022 award presentation.
