Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program

Under the direction of Leigh Vaughan, M.D., the one-year MUSC Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) Fellowship gives fellows the opportunity to work at MUSC, Roper St. Francis Hospital, and the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center (VAMC).

With the objective of developing experts and leaders in the field, and ensuring that patients with life-limiting diseases receive informed, expert, and appropriate care, the program offers a wide variety of clinical rotations, educational experiences, and scholarly/research opportunities.

Training includes broad-based exposure to both adult and pediatric palliative medicine in community and academic settings, with well-established interdisciplinary palliative care teams.

Our fellowship positions are funded by the Medical University of South Carolina. We accept two fellows per year.
