Department of Medicine research symposium

13th Annual Research Symposium

Join us on Friday, April 26th for the 13th Annual Department of Medicine Research Symposium to celebrate our research efforts across the department. This event will bring together researchers from all divisions and provide an opportunity to share exciting new findings, facilitate scientific exchange, and identify potential new collaborations.

Abstract submissions are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019. All abstracts will be accepted for poster presentations and included in our Annual Research Symposium Booklet. On the day of the symposium, each presenter will have 10 minutes to present their work to the judges.

All members of the Department, including Junior Faculty, Fellows, Residents Postdocs, Graduate Students, and Medical Students are encouraged to participate.

The event will include both oral and poster presentations as well as a keynote address from Andrew Gewirtz, Ph.D, Professor, Institute for Biomedical Sciences, Georgia State University.

Awards will be given at the conclusion of the event to recognize the most outstanding presentations of the day. Faculty Mentor of the Year awards will also be given.

This is a great opportunity for all, including those planning to attend regional and/or national conferences this year, to get practice and experience in showcasing their hard work and receiving helpful feedback.
