Emergency Medicine Toxicology Division

Picture of a man, Dr. Nicholas Connors
Nicholas Connors, M.D.
Director, Toxicology

Medical Toxicology is a broad field encompassing pathophysiology caused by medication overdoses, adverse drug reactions, intoxication from drugs of abuse, medication and drug withdrawal, and exposure to industrial, foodborne, and natural toxins. Topics are discussed formally in presentations for Emergency Medicine Residency and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship conferences in addition to lectures to medical students and EMS.

We offer a Toxicology Rotation for PEM fellows and an elective for EM residents. This rotation involves small group didactics and will aim to find cases in the Adult and Pediatric ED for bedside teaching. Please contact Dr. Nicholas Connors for details.
