Salary and Benefits

Stipends will be reevaluated in the fall of each year and any changes will be made effective October 1 each year.  All Residents will be notified if there are changes to the established stipend levels.Internal Medicine Pediatric Residency Interns

Resident stipends (approximate)

  • PL1 = $51,086
  • PL2 = $52,883
  • PL3 = $54,337
  • PL4 = $56,586


  • Step III paid for
  • SC, DEA, DHEC licensure fees
  • Meal money provided for all in-house call
  • Monthly food/beverage/snack stipend provided monthly


  • Meal vouchers provided for food delivery on weekend calls
  • Lunches provided for noon conferences three days a week


  • 3 weeks paid annual leave plus holiday
  • 3 weeks paid sick leave
