Often put in extraordinary circumstances making life-and-death decisions, whether serving in the 8055 MASH unit during the Korean War or during a five-decade career as one of Chicago’s pre-eminent Cardiothoracic Surgeons, Dr. Milton Weinberg’s eyes have seen a lot over the course of his life.

Vivian Bea, M.D., Surgical Residency Class of 2016

After completing her Breast Surgery Fellowship at M.D. Anderson and begins her surgical career at MD Anderson Cooper Health Care System in the Comprehensive Breast Care Center at Cooper, Vivian Bea, M.D. attributes much of her success to her mentors at MUSC.

Shaina Eckhouse, M.D., Surgical Residency Class of 2015

Following the completion of her General Surgery Residency at MUSC and her Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at Duke University, Shaina Eckhouse, M.D. joined the Division of Minimally Invasive Surgery at Washington University. In addition to building a robust surgical practice at Washington, Dr. Eckhouse conducts research focusing on advancing population health.
