Dr. House received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School, and his surgical training at The Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. He completed fellowship training in surgical oncology and hepatopancreatobiliary surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. House joined the surgical faculty at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2008.
His clinical interests are focused on the management of primary and secondary hepatic neoplasms, bile duct tumors, and benign and malignant diseases of the pancreas. He is a principal or co-investigator of ten clinical trials at Indiana University School of Medicine, and is director of the Indiana University Health Pancreatic Cancer Program.
House is a council member for the Indiana University School of Medicine CTSI Biorepository and is an associate member of the Molecular and Environmental Carcinogenesis Program of the Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center. He chairs the Professional Development Committee for the Americas Hepatopancreatobiliary Association, and is the Program Co-Chair for the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract. He serves on the editorial board for the Annals of Surgical Oncology and the Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery.
