Guest speaker: Dr. Sabra Slaughter, interim director of the Center for Health Disparities Research, community liaison for the Mother Emmanuel Community Resiliency Project, and co-investigator of the Mass Violence and Victimization Resource Center. This networking series began in 2014 to help promote diversity and inclusion by giving faculty and staff members an opportunity to get to know each other in a more informal setting. All are welcome.
Black History Intercollegiate MLK Celebration

This celebration is hosted by the Black History Intercollegiate Consortium (BHIC member institutions: MUSC, College of Charleston, Citadel, Trident, and Charleston Southern University) and rotates location every year. Program includes group performances, music, recognition ceremony, and reception. The 2019 MLK honoree is Dr. Joe Vuthiganon, assistant professor in the MUSC College of Dental Medicine. Free and open to the public.
