Post-Baccalaureate Entry: (Learn More Here)

  • Preferred nursing GPA of 3.0
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from a nationally accredited program
  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Undergraduate statistics course
  • Unencumbered, active registered nurse (RN) license in state where practicums will be conducted
  • Three references from professionals knowledgeable about the applicant's academic and nursing leadership potential (must use University forms that are available in the online application).
  • Current CV or Résumé.
  • Personal essay that includes the applicant's professional goals and how you visualize your executive nursing role as a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), leading innovations and change in your healthcare organization, (500 words typed on one page).
  • Post-BSN students can submit a portfolio demonstrating leadership work, program faculty will review the portfolio and may approve up to, but not more than 200 clinical hours credit.
  • Interview, if requested, by the Admissions, Progression, and Graduation Committee.
  • GRE scores are not required.

Post-Master's Entry: (Learn More Here)

  • Preferred nursing GPA of 3.0
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from a nationally accredited program
  • Master of Science in Nursing*, Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Health, Master of Public Administration degree from a nationally accredited program and evidence of credentialing within the applicant's specialty, as these different master degrees address the administrative role graduates of the program will be prepared to assume.
  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for undergraduate and graduate coursework (official transcripts for all post-secondary school coursework are required)
  • Unencumbered, active registered nurse (RN) license in state where practicums will be conducted
  • Three references from professionals knowledgeable about the applicant's academic and nursing leadership potential (must use University forms that are available in the online application).
  • Statement of professional goals, including an indication of scholarly project to be undertaken in residency at the end of the program of study.
  • Current CV or Résumé.
  • Interview, if requested, by the Admissions, Progression, and Graduation Committee.
  • GRE scores are not required.

*Post-MSN Nurse Educators are not eligible to apply for Post-MSN entry, but can apply for Post-BSN entry.

*CRNA's cannot apply for our Post-MSN DNP program.
