Academic Programs

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)

The doctor of pharmacy program is a full-time degree program requiring four academic years and it incorporates interprofessional education and practice experiences.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

The doctor of philosophy degree is the mark of highest achievement in preparation for creative scholarship and research.

Concurrent Degree Programs

The College offers a concurrent PharmD/MBA program in conjunction with The Citadel and a PharmD/Ph.D. program in collaboration with the MUSC College of Graduate Studies.

Residency Programs

One of the oldest and most respected programs in the country, the MUSC Residency Program offers 11 PGY1 and seven PGY2 residencies.

Experiential Education Program

The Experiential Education Program provides approximately one-third of a student’s total pharmacy education and is the backbone of the Doctor of Pharmacy program.

Research Labs

MUSC investigators are performing grant-funded research in specific areas of cells investigating mechanisms of cell injury and cell death in various pathological settings, mostly related to cancer.

Continuing Education

In collaboration with the USC College of Pharmacy, the continuing education program provides accredited professional education activities for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

International Programs

The MUSC College of Pharmacy welcomes international students interested in earning their Pharm.D. degree or additional training and residencies. The College has partnerships with several institutions around the world.
