Albany Cromer - Doctor of Health Administration
Being an online student is beneficial to me because it gives me the freedom to focus on my courses at a time that is convenient for me. As a working professional and mother, having a busy life is an understatement. What I really like about being an online student is the ability to learn from my colleagues who are a wealth of knowledge and expertise. They are a combination of healthcare professionals, with different backgrounds and are located all over the United States.
Christina Ketron, MSN, RN - Doctor of Nursing Practice
My previous degrees were in a traditional setting so when I first considered online education for my doctoral degree, I wanted to ensure that the quality of the program met those same standards. I have found that the curriculum at MUSC not only meets those standards but exceeds them and does so with excellence. I enjoy being challenged in the online format and truly believe this platform has pushed me to be a better student.
Trevor Faith - Master of Science in Health Informatics
I started volunteering at MUSC during my senior year of undergrad at the College of Charleston and moved into a full-time research assistant and study coordinator position now split between the Department of Public Health Sciences and the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology prior to starting my program. Furthering my education at MUSC has always been a goal for me and the flexibility of an online program has allowed me to balance full-time work and school simultaneously. Health Informatics is a cutting-edge area of health care and pursing it has, and will hopefully continue to, open doors for me within the campus research community and beyond.
MUSC has been approved by South Carolina to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.
In accordance to the laws of each state, MUSC is authorized to offer online distance education programs in only certain states. Currently, MUSC accepts applications from students who live in all SARA states. To find out if the state you live in is a SARA state please see the NC-SARA website.
Due to restrictive State regulations, MUSC is not able to offer online distance education to students in some states. Please visit the Office of Institutional Effectiveness to learn more about from which states MUSC is authorized to accept students.
