Population Health Award

In 2017, the Medical University of South Carolina established the Population Health Award, at the request of faculty, to recognize faculty who have made outstanding contributions that impact the health of a population or community by means other than by direct interaction of one-on-one clinical care with patients. 

Eligibility Criteria

The criteria for the Population Health Award are as follows:

  • Must be a full-time MUSC faculty member

Nomination Process

Nominations for this award will be accepted by faculty and staff. To submit your nomination, please complete the online nomination form and provide a statement (not to exceed 1,000 words) summarizing the nominee's background and the development and impact of the nominee's contribution.

Nomination Portfolio

Upon nomination, nominees will be notified and asked to provide a nomination portfolio which should include the following.

  • Full curriculum vitae
  • Four (4) letters of support from faculty, staff, students, or postdoctoral fellows, with at least one from a peer, that attest to the development and impact of the nominee's contributions
