Biography

Dr. Flanagan is a licensed clinical psychologist and tenured Professor in the Addiction Sciences Division of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She also holds a dual appointment at the Ralph H. Johnson VAHCS. Her research focuses on developing and adapting treatments for individuals and couples experiencing alcohol and substance use disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and interpersonal violence. She received a B.A. from the University of Vermont and Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Seattle VA and postdoctoral fellowship at the Yale University School of Medicine.
