The Medical University of South Carolina is home to six colleges—Dental Medicine, Graduate Studies, Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy—and diverse group of students, staff, and faculty. The university also provides residency training for more than 750 graduate health professionals.

The Medical University of South Carolina is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. COVID vaccination is not required for admission to MUSC. However, MUSC students who are required to complete clinical experiences and/or other learning activities in healthcare facilities must comply with the COVID and other vaccination requirements of those facilities.
