Dr. Geoffrey Forbus is an associate professor of pediatric cardiology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He graduated magna cum laude from Mississippi State University majoring in biochemistry in 1993. In 1997, he graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and completed an internal medicine/pediatrics residency there in 2001. He completed pediatric cardiology fellowship training at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2004. Since completion of his training, he has pursued his interests in the care of children and adults with congenital heart disease in the pediatric cardiac ICU. Further, he has special interest in non invasive imaging including transesophageal and fetal echocardiography. In the outpatient setting, his focus is on the care of patients with Fontan physiology in addition to treating other forms of acquired and congenital heart disease. He is board certified in pediatrics, pediatric cardiology, and adult congenital heart disease.
