Biography
Dr. Lindsey Hamil earned a Ph.D. in Educational Administration, with an emphasis in Higher Education from the University of South Carolina, and a Master’s of Science in Communications from the University of Tennessee. In 2010, she joined the James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine as our Educational Specialist and an Instructor. Since her time in the college, Dr. Hamil has earned the rank of Associate Professor. She has published several articles in the Journal of Dental Education focused on predoctoral dental and interprofessional education. She represents the CDM at ADEA as a member of the Council of Faculties and received MUSC’s Earl B. Higgins Leadership in Diversity award in 2021. Dr. Hamil is an advocate for case-based learning and writing. In 2013, she was named as a Fellow of the Southeast Case Research Association (SECRA), an organization which has published the work of many CDM faculty and students.
