Biography
D. Brian Haver, Psy.D., is a clinical psychologist with extensive specialization in clinical health psychology. He received his Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in clinical psychology from Mercer University, along with master's degrees in clinical health psychology and public health. He completed a predoctoral internship in health psychology at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, Michigan, with rotations in transplant surgery, internal medicine/primary care, and outpatient mental health. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), with an additional year of specialization in the evaluation and treatment of patients in the organ transplant process. Although he is primarily engaged in clinical work, his current research interests include areas in organ transplantation broadly, including cognitive functioning changes, alcohol use patterns, ethics, and xenotransplantation.
