Biography
Dr Kimberly Mallin is a family medicine physician with a broad practice background. Since graduating from ECU Brody School of Medicine, she trained for several years in general surgery and completed a residency in family medicine at Trident/MUSC Family Medicine in Charleston. After several years in private practice in Summerville SC, she joined MUSC family medicine faculty. She moved to Antigua in 2014 to open and operate a clinic for students, faculty and staff of the American University of Antigua Medical school, as well as serving as Associate Dean for Wellness and Inclusion for the campus. After establishing the AUA clinic, she returned to the US with the desire to focus more on her clinical interests of substance use disorders and end of life care and served as medical director for a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center before returning to training in 2021 to complete a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, NY. She returned to her home in the south with experience and compassion to assist patients as they navigate this unpredictable thing called life.
