Her academic work includes glaucoma surgery, cataract and intraocular lens technology, corneal disease, and innovative approaches to improving vision and quality of life. She has contributed to scientific publications and is involved in the education of ophthalmology residents and trainees.
Dr. Fernandes believes that exceptional eye care begins with listening. She takes time to understand each patient’s concerns, explain treatment options in clear and accessible language, and develop a care plan tailored to the individual. Her goal is to combine evidence-based medicine, innovative technology, and compassionate care to preserve vision and improve her patients’ quality of life.
