Biography
Dr. Pavlacic is a licensed clinical psychologist and research assistant professor in the Sleep, Mood, Anxiety Research & Treatment Division within the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina. He earned his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Pavlacic completed a predoctoral internship in clinical psychology at the Charleston Consortium Psychology Internship Program and postdoctoral training at the Medical University of South Carolina and Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center. His clinical expertise includes treatment of trauma- and stressor-related disorders, chronic pain, and psychiatric comorbidities. His research interests include ecological momentary assessment of posttraumatic psychopathology and emotion regulation, as well as development of just-in-time adaptive interventions/ecological momentary interventions. His research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, Health Resources and Services Administration, the Misophonia Research Fund/REAM Foundation, and internal funding mechanisms.
