Biography
Dr. Christina Pelatti earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Cincinnati. She completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Ohio State University before joining the faculty at Towson University. In August 2022, she joined the faculty at the Medical University of South Carolina as an associate professor and director of the Division of Speech-Language Pathology.
As a trained clinical speech-language pathologist, Dr. Pelatti demonstrates expertise in teaching and research in the areas of oral and written language development in children. She is particularly interested in examining factors that impact children with developmental (e.g., Down syndrome) and acquired (e.g., traumatic brain injury) disorders. She has extensive experience supervising and mentoring students in clinical and research experiences. In addition to her teaching and research/scholarship, Dr. Pelatti is an active, engaged leader at the division, college, university, and professional levels, including her state and national associations.
