Biography
Dr. Dante Pelzer is a native of Charleston, SC. He attended the University of South Carolina where obtained his bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and his master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Most recently, Dr. Pelzer received his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Florida State University. Currently, he works at the Medical University of South Carolina as the Associate Director of Student Diversity, while also holding an appointment as Associate Professor in the department of Academic Affairs. As a scholar-practitioner, Dr. Pelzer’s research interests include the study Black male identity development among college men and the broad examination of underrepresented students’ college experiences.
