Biography
Fabio Antonio Piola Rizzante, D.D.S., Ph.D., MBA, is assistant dean of innovation and an associate professor in the Department of Reconstructive and Rehabilitation Sciences of the James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He earned his Master of Science in Oral Sciences, Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Oral Sciences from the University of São Paulo and his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Case Western Reserve University.
Dr. Rizzante’s teaching and research focus is on implant dentistry, CAD/CAM technology, digital workflows, and restorative materials. He has published extensively on dental materials and digital dentistry and is active in organizations such as the International Association for Dental Research and the Academy of Dental Materials. His work emphasizes advancing clinical innovation and interdisciplinary education.
