Melody Reibel, PhD, MSN-Ed, RN is an Assistant Professor for the College of Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Reibel serves as Lead ABSN Faculty and teaches in the ABSN, DNP, and RN to BSN programs. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing, with a specialty in nursing education from Bellarmine University, Louisville, KY, and her PhD in Nursing from the University of Louisville. Dr. Reibel has more than 20 years of clinical experience primarily in adult critical care areas and has taught undergraduate accelerated nursing students for 20 years. She has a passion for nursing education and simulation as a teaching-learning modality. Dr. Reibel’s research is focused on the area of clinical judgment in nursing education. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Society, South Carolina Nursing Education Simulation Alliance, and The International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning. Dr. Reibel serves on the South Carolina Board of Nursing Hearing Panel.
