Biography
Jennifer A. Rinker, Ph.D., is director of the Ph.D. in Neuroscience program and an assistant professor in the Department of Neuroscience in the MUSC College of Medicine. Her research examines the neural mechanisms associated with alcohol use disorder and stress-related conditions, with particular attention to the brain pathways that influence excessive alcohol consumption and reward-seeking behavior. Through her research and academic leadership, Dr. Rinker supports the development of emerging neuroscientists and advances the understanding of neurobiological processes that may inform future treatments.
