Biography

Martin B. Steed, D.D.S., is chair and professor of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University at Buffalo and completed an oral medicine residency at the University of North Carolina, followed by oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Emory University.

 

Dr. Steed previously served as program director and chief of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University Midtown Hospital. A board examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, his clinical and research interests include microsurgical trigeminal nerve repair, virtual surgical planning, orthognathic surgery, and maxillofacial trauma outcomes.
