Biography

Brandi is an experienced ICU nurse committed to ensuring the delivery of compassionate, high-quality care. She graduated magna cum laude from Wilmington University and has over ten years of nursing experience, primarily at level-one, quaternary care academic institutions. Brandi gained valuable experience as a travel nurse, learning from talented medical professionals nationwide. She spent multiple years in Houston at the renowned Texas Medical Center, the largest medical center in the world, and she credits her extensive critical care knowledge to her time there. Brandi has worked in a variety of settings including Shock/Trauma, MICU, NSICU, and CVICU--However, the Surgical ICU was her first introduction to the critical care environment, and it was here that she quickly developed a true passion for critical care nursing. Upon relocating to South Carolina, Brandi landed at the Medical University of South Carolina. She now serves as the Simulation Coordinator at MUSC College of Nursing, where she can share her knowledge and expertise with future nurses. Her strong commitment to advancing education in the healthcare sector fuels her aspiration to significantly impact the future of nursing as an educator. She is committed to inspiring, empowering, and supporting the next generation of nurses, fostering their ability to deliver exceptional care. Her mission is to advance nursing and healthcare practices to enhance patient care outcomes and reduce healthcare disparities within South Carolina and beyond. Brandi is a dedicated lifelong learner committed to ongoing professional growth and plans to complete her MSN in Nursing Education early next year.
