John B. Adams, II, M.D. is a board-certified urologist and assistant professor in the Department of Urology in the College of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He provides comprehensive adult urologic care through MUSC Health, with clinical interests that include complex kidney stone disease, benign prostatic hyperplasia, prostate cancer, and contemporary minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Dr. Adams completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Vanderbilt University and went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in urology at Emory University Hospital and pursued advanced fellowship training in laparoscopy and minimally invasive urologic surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Prior to joining MUSC, he served on the faculty at the Medical College of Georgia and practiced in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina.
