Biography

Benjamin Barnette, MD, is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and the Director of Hospital Medicine Nighttime Services at MUSC. He completed medical school, internship, and residency training at MUSC and has been a member of the faculty since 2019. His work focuses on nighttime hospital operations, quality improvement, and innovative models of inpatient care, with a particular emphasis on expanding telemedicine services to rural and community hospitals across South Carolina. Through this work, Dr. Barnette supports improved access to specialist-driven nighttime coverage, enhances care continuity, and strengthens the delivery of hospital medicine across the MUSC Health system.
