Kimberly Davis, M.D., FACP, is the director of the Division of General Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Palliative Care in the College of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), where she also serves as professor of Medicine and vice chair for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Medicine. A nationally recognized leader in academic medicine, Dr. Davis has made significant strides in clinical care, education, and healthcare informatics throughout her 27-year tenure at MUSC. She spearheaded UIM’s certification as one of MUSC’s first patient-centered medical homes and launched the MUSC Employee Rapid Access Clinic for same-day employee care.

In informatics, she has overseen the successful implementation of Epic and led clinical quality improvement initiatives as ACMIO. As clinical vice chair, she has driven improvements in operations through project management oversight committees across divisions.

Dr. Davis is a recipient of multiple honors, including the MUSC Outstanding Clinician Award, MUSC College of Medicine’s Department of Medicine Teaching Award, and MUSC Distinguished Faculty Service Award.
