Biography

Anthony DeClue received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2016, where he now serves as an assistant professor in the department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences. Dr. DeClue serves as Director of Clinical Services at MUSC Family Medicine Pharmacy and the associated Medication Therapy Management (MTM) Center, where he has practice experience in both community and ambulatory settings. Previously, Dr. DeClue acquired years of experience staffing in a large retail chain pharmacy. Dr. DeClue is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP). In addition to teaching and clinical practice, for the past nine years, Anthony has served in various capacities on the National Executive Board of Phi Lambda Sigma, the Pharmacy Leadership Society, including presently as National Immediate-Past President and previously as President, President-Elect, Speaker of the House, Parliamentarian, and Chair of various national committees. Additionally, Dr. DeClue also serves on the Executive Board of the South Carolina Pharmacy Association (SCPhA) in the current capacity of Speaker-Elect. Anthony practices as an active member of a multitude of pharmacy organizations, advocating for the profession. Prior to becoming a pharmacist, Anthony earned a Master’s Degree in English and, in addition to his passion for teaching and pharmacy practice, he maintains a love for literature and the humanities.
