Biography
Dr. Catharine Kappauf is an ENT surgeon focusing on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. She grew up in North Carolina and earned her bachelor's degree from Duke University. She then went to medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, and completed her residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital. She is now doing specialty training at MUSC in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Kappauf helps patients with a wide variety of concerns, including broken noses, skin cancer repairs, facial paralysis, birth defects, and other complex reconstructive needs in the head and neck. She works hard to listen to each patient, understand their unique needs and goals, and build a plan together that will meet those needs. When not in the clinic or operating room, she enjoys spending time outdoors, baking, and running around with her toddler.
