Dr. Kristen Lancaster is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of Medical Genetics Education. She is board-certified in both Clinical Genetics and Genomics and General Pediatrics. Dr. Lancaster attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine, followed by a Pediatric residency and Chief residency at the University of Texas Southwestern. She completed a fellowship in Medical Genetics and Genomics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Passionate about patient care, medical education, and advocacy, Dr. Lancaster provides comprehensive genetic evaluations for patients of all ages in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Her clinical interests include craniofacial differences, congenital anomalies (birth defects), chromosomal disorders, dysmorphology, vascular and overgrowth conditions, and pediatric cancer predisposition syndromes. Additionally, Dr. Lancaster serves as the Clinical Geneticist for MUSC’s Craniofacial Anomalies and Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate team.
Dr. Lancaster is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics, the American Society of Human Genetics, the Association of Professors of Human and Medical Genetics, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
