Biography
Lauren Preston, AuD, CCC-A, is a clinical audiologist in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Washington and her Doctor of Audiology from Northwestern University. She completed her clinical externship at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, where she gained experience in adult diagnostic audiology, hearing aids, implantable hearing devices, auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing, and vestibular assessment. During her doctoral training at Northwestern, Lauren completed capstone research investigating the test-retest reliability of a short-form measure related to hidden hearing loss. Her clinical and research interests include vestibular disorders, hidden hearing loss, and comprehensive hearing evaluations. Lauren is committed to providing patient-centered care and helping patients better understand their hearing and balance concerns, diagnostic results, and treatment options.
