Biography
Dr Rosenberg is the Director of the Aerospace and Performance Neurology program and Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina. Focuses on understanding the human body and nervous system in austere environments including, but not limited to, microgravity, high altitude, sleep/wake cycle disruptions, and more. He has served as a NASA Subject Matter expert and has received commendations from military and governmental leaders. He has conducted studies investigating the cerebrovascular system of astronauts, which has propelled the understanding of the nervous system and risk for developing neurologic conditions in spaceflight. He is actively working on research that will be featured in upcoming SpaceX missions. He has extensive experience in wearable technologies, working with the US Air Force to establish data sets to improve aircrew health, and is partnering with Oura Health to bring clinical relevancy to wearable devices. Clinically his practice focuses on outpatient-based care in neurology patients. He practices in the sports population, utilizing lifestyle modification, human performance optimization, and other cutting-edge methods to improve neurologic recovery. He is a clinician educator and mentor, running a successful lab of 10 core members with ancillary 15 more. He has been recognized nationally and internationally for his efforts to bring more attention to nervous system dysfunction in extreme environments.
