Christine Anderson, MLIS, is the executive director for Region 2 of the Network of the National Library of Medicine, headquartered at the Medical University of South Carolina Libraries in Charleston. Christine brings over a decade of experience in academic librarianship, archives, and publishing, with a background that spans higher education, cultural heritage research, journalism, and community engagement.
Before her current role, Christine served as an assistant professor and director of Archives at the University of South Carolina Lancaster, as well as the lifelong learning coordinator at Coastal Carolina University. Her work focuses on expanding access to health information, advancing community-centered outreach, and supporting libraries and organizations in connecting people with trusted resources.
Christine's research and professional interests include cultural heritage preservation, oral history, information access, and the role of libraries in fostering informed communities.
