Jonathan Pire, MD is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at MUSC specializing in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions in children and adolescents.
Dr. Pire earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He then stayed at MUSC to complete his orthopedic surgery residency. After residency, he completed a pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellowship at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, California, one of the nation's leading pediatric orthopaedic programs.
During his training, Dr. Pire was recognized with several honors including the Lena Sefton Clark Award at Rady Children's Hospital and the American Orthopaedic Association's (AOA) Resident Leader award. He is currently a member of the AOA Emerging Leader program. He has contributed to the field through numerous published research studies and national presentations. He believes in service to those in need and has participated in international mission trips, providing surgical care to impoverished communities.
Dr. Pire is excited to bring his training and experience back to MUSC, where he looks forward to helping children and families in the Charleston community get back to the activities they love.
