Biography

Dr. Nancy Rudner, DrPH, MPH, APRN,  a professor at Medical University of South Carolina College of Nursing, teaches in the graduate programs, mostly with DNP projects.  She has a Doctorate in Public Health from University of Michigan Pew Scholar’s Program in Health Policy, a Master’s in Public Health from University of North Carolina, and a Master’s in Nursing from Pace University.  She also earned a certificate in Women’s Global Health Leadership from Rutgers University.
Her work has focused on primary care, prevention, population health, and policy as well as disaster care. She provided primary care in a community health center, developed an employee health program, led population health initiatives for a large health plan, served as a nursing liaison to vaccine industry, and guided health plans in QI initiatives.  She has taught quality improvement and population health courses at several universities. Her recent research examining farmworker heat exposure was included in the OSHA hearings on worker heat protections.  Her international work includes disaster nursing, collaboration on educational enhancements and quality improvement strategies.
