Dr. Smith is a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD) with comprehensive training and experience in both clinical and academic dermatology. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he developed a strong foundation in holistic and patient-centered care.
Dr. Smith completed dermatology residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network, gaining extensive experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Following residency, Dr. Smith served as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at both St. Luke’s University Health Network and the Temple University School of Medicine, where he contributed to resident and medical student education, as well as clinical research.
Now practicing at the Medical University of South Carolina, Dr. Smith brings a commitment to excellence in dermatologic care, with a particular interest in complex medical dermatology, skin cancer detection, and surgical dermatology.
Dr. Smith is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, compassionate care to patients of all ages and skin types, and remains actively involved in continuing education and professional development through the American Academy of Dermatology.
