Biography

Dr. Arianna Winchester is a Neurotology fellow in the Department of Otolaryngology specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss, cochlear implants, chronic ear disease, balance disorders, and other conditions affecting the ear and lateral skull base. She is committed to providing compassionate, personalized care while helping patients understand their treatment options and improve their hearing and quality of life.

Originally from New York City, Dr. Winchester earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Columbia University, where she was a John Jay Scholar and conducted research in genetics. She then worked in clinical research focused on hearing disorders before attending the NYU Grossman School of Medicine through its accelerated three-year medical school program. She completed her residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at NYU and is completing fellowship training in Neurotology and Lateral Skull Base Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Winchester's interest in neurotology is deeply personal. Her father is deaf, and her mother is an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter. Growing up using ASL and immersed in the Deaf community inspired her commitment to caring for patients with hearing loss and other hearing disorders.

Her research focuses on improving care for patients with cochlear implants and advancing treatments for hearing disorders. She has presented her work at national and international meetings and has received multiple awards recognizing excellence in resident research and teaching. Dr. Winchester is dedicated to combining compassionate patient care with the latest advances in hearing restoration and ear surgery.
