Dr. Broadway is an instructor in the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) program at the College of Nursing and also practices as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) Partners in Healthcare Clinic. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Delaware in 2013, with eight years of bedside nursing experience in intermediate care and cardiovascular intensive care.
In 2021, she obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Arkansas and received certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the AANP. As an advanced practice provider, Dr. Broadway has worked in both family practice and cardiology. During her work in advanced adult heart failure, she developed a passion for addressing healthcare disparities by acknowledging patient-specific social determinants of health—a focus she continues in her work at MUSC.
Her scholarship centers on healthy people, healthy communities, and social determinants of health. Dr. Broadway’s teaching philosophy emphasizes creating a safe and engaging learning environment. She believes every student has unique value and takes pride in fostering a comfortable, supportive space where students can confidently ask questions, make real-life connections, and develop essential nursing judgment skills.
