Biography
Anthony DeClue received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2016, where he now serves as an Associate Professor in the department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences. In professional practice, Anthony has experience as a clinical outpatient pharmacist in both community and ambulatory settings. Dr. DeClue maintains board certification in ambulatory care pharmacy and is also a certified diabetes care and education specialist. Anthony currently serves as the Coordinator of Preceptor Development within the Palmetto Experiential Education Partnership. Additionally, Anthony serves as the consultant pharmacist on the Board of the Cares Clinic for the Unhoused at The Navigation Center in downtown, Charleston, South Carolina. In addition to teaching and clinical practice, for the past decade, Anthony has served in various capacities on the National Board of Directors of Phi Lambda Sigma, the Pharmacy Leadership Society, including presently a National Leader Academy Facilitator. Dr. DeClue also currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Pharmacy Association in the capacity of President-Elect. Prior to becoming a pharmacist, Anthony earned a Master of Arts Degree in English and, in addition to his passion for teaching and pharmacy practice, he maintains a love for literature and the humanities.
