Dr. Goodier is a graduate of Clemson University (BS in Biological Sciences) and the Medical University of South Carolina (MD). He subsequently completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. He served as the program director for the OB/GYN residency at Medical University of South Carolina from 2018 to 2024, as well as director of OB/GYN simulation and on the MUSC health care stimulation advisory Council. He also serves on the South Carolina Birth Outcomes Initiative committee.
Dr. Goodier currently serves as the Associate Dean of Admissions and Chair of the Admissions committee for the MUSC College of Medicine.
He currently serves as a board examiner for the American College of OB/GYN. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of the National Certification Corporation, as well as a subject matter expert and content team member for the National Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification exam and Obstetric Critical Care certification exam. He remains active clinically and in research, with interest in obstetric anesthesia, obstetric emergencies and healthcare disparities.
