Kellie Griggs, DNP, MSN, RNC-OB, FAAN, has built a distinguished career as a women’s health advocate, with experience encompassing executive leadership, consulting, clinical practice, and academia. Dr. Griggs is an associate professor and director of Nurse Education Advancement and Strategy in the College of Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSCA). She is a mentor and champion who enjoys tapping into unique strengths and talents to grow and empower others. Her work has been disseminated on a national and international level through numerous peer-reviewed publications, speaking events, grant funding, and workshops. She also serves as a community engagement liaison for vulnerable women and enjoys providing mentorship to young women coming into their own places and spaces to thrive in life.
Dr. Griggs is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN). She is actively involved in the Association of Women’s Health Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) on the local, state, and national level, where she served as a director on the AWHONN National Board from 2020 to 2023, Public Policy Committee, and currently the chair of the AWHONN National Ethics and Compliance Committee (NECC).
Her academic background includes earning an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Forsyth Tech Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Master of Science in Nursing (BSN), and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nursing Education and Leadership from Gardner-Webb University.
