Biography
Elizabeth Hill, PhD, has been affiliated with the Hollings Cancer Center Data Science Shared Resource since 2007 and was appointed director in 2017. In January 2020, she joined Eli Lilly and Company as statistical director of the Early Phase Oncology Program, where she directly oversaw the development and conduct of the company’s early-phase oncology portfolio, which consisted largely of first-in-human studies. She returned to MUSC in January 2021 and resumed leadership of the Data Science Shared Resource.
Throughout more than 15 years of affiliation with the shared resource, Dr. Hill has collaborated with MUSC cancer investigators across the oncology research continuum. Her work has included designing laboratory experiments and early-phase clinical trials and analyzing data from laboratory studies and large-scale epidemiologic databases. She has served as biostatistics core director, principal investigator or co-principal investigator for multi-project P01 and U54 grants and P30 center grants. She also has maintained a strong record of continuous funding as a co-investigator with numerous cancer center researchers.
