Biography
Dr. Abhiram Maddi is a clinician scientist with extensive pre-doctoral and post-doctoral clinical and research training. Following his pre-doctoral training in general dentistry, Dr. Maddi received his PhD training in Oral Biology and a Certificate in Periodontics from the School of Dental Medicine, University at Buffalo. His primary interests are academic teaching and research. His research interests include fungal microbiology, molecular biology and genetics with a perspective to treat oral and systemic fungal infections. Dr. Maddi is also a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and currently maintains an active private practice of periodontics and surgical implantology.
