Biography
Nishat was born in Houston, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated with Highest Honors with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She received her medical doctorate from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and graduated Cum Laude with a distinction in global health. She completed her residency training in Otolaryngology at the University of Texas Medical Branch. She has a specific interest in voice, swallowing, and airway disorders and is currently pursuing a fellowship in Laryngology at MUSC.
