Biography

Dr. Courtney Poston is a fellowship trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon at MUSC Women’s Health and assistant professor at the Medical University of South Carolina. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology at Clemson University then received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her OBGYN residency at Orlando Health and completed advanced fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida.

Dr. Poston’s clinical expertise includes the comprehensive surgical and medical management of conditions like fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis, pelvic pain, heavy or irregular periods, ovarian cysts, and a range of other complex gynecologic conditions. She is committed to providing individualized, patient-centered care to help her patient’s restore normalcy to their lives. She is skilled in hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and robotic surgery. She focuses on using small incisions and minimally invasive techniques to help patients heal faster and feel better sooner. She also offers fertility-sparing surgery for women who want to have children in the future.
