Biography
Dr. Tutek is a licensed clinical
psychologist and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and
Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina. He serves as clinic director and provides evidence-based therapy to patients in the Sleep, Mood, Anxiety, Research & Treatment (SMART) Division. He received
his B.A. in Psychology from Lewis & Clark College, and his
M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Alabama. Dr. Tutek
completed his Pre-Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology at the Miami VA
Healthcare System. He then completed a 2-year Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Stanford
University School of Medicine, where he received training in cognitive
behavioral therapy for sleep disorders and participated in insomnia research. He enjoys collaborating with patients from all walks of life,
adapting treatment to address challenges and work toward goals that are most
meaningful to them.
