Biography

Eva R. Serber, Ph.D., received her PhD in clinical psychology with a specialization in health psychology from the University of Florida. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston Consortium) and her postdoctoral fellowship in cardiovascular behavioral medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. After serving as faculty at The Miriam and Rhode Island Hospitals and the Warren Alpert Medical School for Brown University (2008-2011), Dr. Serber returned to Charleston and MUSC. She is currently an associate professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Division of Bio-behavioral Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Serber serves on the Psychology Education Committee for the Internship program. She is also the Associate Director of Education and Training and the Associate Co-Director of Clinical Operations for the Division of Bio-behavioral Medicine. Dr. Serber is a supervisor for Behavioral Medicine rotation in the Behavioral Medicine Clinic for the Charleston Consortium Psychology Internship Program, along with supervising postdoctoral fellows. Dr. Serber is currently active in both clinical research and providing clinical patient care.
